Beautiful place. Great paella. We were not able to finish the 2 portions.

Exceptional restaurant with very friendly service (they even speak French!) and exceptional cuisine. The place itself is not very big but it’s our perfect restaurant size. The dishes are something completely out of the ordinary: even the bravas are incredibly delicious (perfect crust while mellow, the salsa is so good we finished it with bread). The pil pil shrimp are a must: perfectly cooked and a sauce so yummy that it’s difficult not to finish it. The eggplant with honey are really interesting: we finished the whole bowl and then the plat de resistance was necessarily a paella de mariscos: outstanding, we finally found the paella we’ve been looking for in many restaurants in Spain.

This is simply brilliant food cooked and served with love. And you can taste that love in every mouthful. My first taste of black rice and by all accounts (and perhaps a little taste) a simply superb paella.

Update 6.4.2025: By far the best paella in Estepona ! Very comfortable place with excellent, excellent decently priced local food

Spectacular seafood paella, a warm welcome from front of house and kitchen alike. Great value for fresh, excellent cooked food. Definitely not to be missed, first class.

El Hatillo never disappoints. Paellas are fabulous and daily changing three course lunch is both delicious and excellent value. Great staff and nice atmosphere.

Best Paella I’ve had for a long time! Staff very friendly and prices very reasonable!
